Faith, Knowledge, Service – the St. Catharine School motto is more than just words. We strive to make it a reality for our students every day. Opportunities are found in all areas and grade levels to ensure the spiritual growth and well being of all students.
During the 2024-2025 academic year, we implemented a new reading and math curriculum, from Kindergarten to 8th grade, that aligns with our mission of fostering academic excellence within a Catholic framework. Standards developed by the Diocese of Trenton are met through daily instruction through careful planning monitored by an administration devoted to academic excellence. We inspire students to see the connection between their learning and their faith, preparing them for both academic success and spiritual growth in their journey ahead.
Methods of differentiated instruction are incorporated to meet the needs of our diverse learners. Interactive whiteboards and Chromebooks are integrated into all areas of curriculum. Our one-to-one laptop initiative allows students to create, collaborate and share information in all subject areas. Research, collaboration, the writing process, preparing and presenting information during class and test taking are all enhanced through the use of technology.
In addition to the five major areas of curriculum (Religion, English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies), students receive enrichment instruction in Fine Arts, Music, Physical Education, Spanish, and Technology.
